in an attempt to keep you abreast of the latest in developments on the performance front, I wanted to let you know the following.... I have heard some rumblings that many of you are going to NYC for GMA's Summer Concert on September 1st. Now, normally I would keep out of it and not really say anything. However, I know that travel means not only expense financially, but also taking off of work for some of you or securing things back at home. So, while I realize it may not be my place to say so... i wanted to tell you that I will NOT be at GMA on September 1st. We chose not to do a summer concert with them this year, and to instead wait until closer to the album release to go see Diane and the crew. We do plan on going to GMA, but not on 9/1. We will let you know a dae when it comes. I just didn't want people spending money to go up there if they were hoping to see us. However, if you ARE looking for something in the way of live performance, I can tell you a little. We are NOT doing a Joyful Noise tour this year. We won't be doing a Christmas tour at all really. We decided to keep our attentions focused on promoting the album through much of the last months of the year, so we won't have much time to rehearse a full tour. However, we have been asked by a number of symphony orchestras in various cities to be a guest on their Christmas program. Because you know how much I love Christmas, we have accepted some of their invitations. Throughout the next several weeks, you'll probably hear about some of them. It will hopefully be a nice opportunity to get out and see many of you even though we won't officially be touring this holiday season. So keep your eyes peeled.
