Ooookay - I take all the rants about the blogs back. Seems there's a little item in my profile that says "Make my information public...",etc. that needed to be checked for people to view my blog. And it -er - wasn't... hides under floor

So I'm on the boards to console myself because I can't get CNN again this weekend - honestly, my cable company makes me so MAD! Not a big deal usually, but tonight Boyfriend is to be on and I will miss it...

After all my ranting on other boards about Katrina and how I hate all the criticism and fingerpointing at a time when human life is at stake and so many ARE trying to help, you would think I would be using this space to blog about it. But I'm spent.

All I can do is my little bit - last night's fundraiser was such a success we'll be repeating in a few nearby areas over the next two days. I am glad - the $$ are desperately needed, and our concert gives concerned folks a place to come together as well as just donate.

A lot of Detroit folks have relatives and family in NO and other hard-hit areas...I suppose that's a similar story all over the country. But it was heartening to see the turnout for the Red Cross efforts as well as for the fundraiser...people have such good hearts.

I lost it during "Amazing Grace" - good thing everyone else in the place did, too! Just hearing the audience singing SO strongly and with such heartfelt emotion was really something...all of us doing the concert are seasoned performers, but I think everyone felt this was out of the ordinary.

I am so glad Clay is to be a part of the special tonight - it is fitting that he, who lent his voice to the aid efforts abroad, should also do so here at home - go CLAY!! And please let there be clack or let my cable come back...
