I felt the need to leave a few words here before I venture on a very painful journey in the morning.

My youngest son, 21 yrs old, has been diagnosed with a pineal gland brain tumor. He will have a biopsy done in a couple days and we won't know the prognosis for a few days after that.

Right now, they are telling us the tumor is quite large and they don't think it is operable. They are hoping it is treatable. He has some brain swelling as well, so they will also be inserting a shunt.

They had scheduled the initial surgery for the biopsy for tomorrow morning, but the surgeons have decided they could wait a couple days to give us time to get there before the surgery. My daughter and I are in CHicago, my oldest son is in Fort Worth, TX and my son, Kyle, having the surgery is in Seattle.

Kyle is the sweetest person and so dear to us. My heart is breaking right now.

He does enjoy Clay's music and I am taking some with me. I know it will help me during this difficult time.

Maybe the next time I write I can write with some good news. Maybe Clay will give us an announcement this week as well. I could use some good news.
