Today I received in the mail the first seed catalog for spring. That cheered me up. I’m already looking forward to spring so I can do some gardening. Gardening is somewhat a fruitless effort though….I’d say maybe two out of five things I plant will survive due to kids romping through the yard, poor soil that I don’t bother to test, & lack of watering on my part. I do have two lilac bushes that survived though out front, one under our bathroom window, & one in front of our living room window. I had no clue they would get so huge! LOL. Come spring time, they smell absolutely intoxicating. I wish I could leave the living room windows open though, but, they are cheap windows, & the screens got ruined. Can’t chance having those ungodly huge Michigan bumble bee’s flying in the house, or worse, the hornets. Now those things will send me into a panic attack. Nasty, evil creatures those things are.
