I was allowed to see the results of the assessment & it was very...illuminating...NOT!
First off, I want to thank all of you for your continued support and prayers throughout this challenging time. This is my third day out of work and I'm already going nuts. :)
Secondly, I was allowed to see the results of my assessment "as a favor" to me.
They are very clear on the amounts of weight I lifted. Here is the part that I am confused about. In the job description, it clearly states that the prospective employee must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. On the job assessment, it states that I was able to lift 54 lbs., 64 lbs., and 74 lbs., consecutively. However, the job assessment requires that I be able to lift 98 lbs.!!!!
Now, having worked at this same company for 7 1/2 years, I know all the people currently working in the position I've applied for & there isn't one of them who lifts 100 lbs. Ever. My confusion is that I don't understand why the job description & job assessment are different. Neither does my union. This isn't over as we have a meeting with the Director of Human Resources this week.
I'll let you all know what transpires.
Thanks for your continued prayers.
