Hi all, I'm back with a rough case of jet lag. How can people like Clay fly coast-to-coast and still function with a clear head. I caught myself dozing off several times on the plane yesterday and it took until after lunch today to be fully functional. Maybe I shouldn't have stayed up almost all night on my last night playing that slot machine! Oh well, I was having fun and winning too!

It was great seeing my college friends again. We packed so much into the long weekend. We saw some awesome consumer electronics that will be on the market soon, did some shopping, gambled a little, hiked in the mountains, and I read 3/4 of a book.

The new Wynn casino in Vegas was very elegant. I didn't notice any particular theme like the other casino/resorts. That was the only new resort since I was there last summer. There are a few more under development so I guess I'll have to go back again soon.

I did determine that the LV strip isn't as long as I thought. I ran down about two-thirds of the strip and it was just shy of 4 miles long. When we've walked it in the past it seemed to be at least 10 times that long but this time I measured it with my GPS (yeah, I'm a gadget geek).

If you're planning a trip to Vegas, I'd highly recommend taking a day away from the strip and visiting Red Rocks canyon for some hiking. It was breath-taking!

Until later...
