Tonight I had a deja vu moment. I was running on the treadmill, watching AI and I flashed back to the first time I watched AI. I only watched it because my neighbor insisted we see Alicyn sing on the wildcard show. She was the girlfriend of my neighbor's best friend. Since I had met her the previous summer, I thought, sure give it a try.
So there I was, a human hamster, running in place watching AI when Clay sang. I still remember how it blew me off the treadmill that I had to stop running and listen.
There were a couple very talented girls on AI tonight. I was extremely impressed with Paris. She looked a little like the one girl on Cosby. The blonde early in the show who lived with her grandfather was great too. I can't wait for the regular season to start so we don't have to be tortured by the bad singers, especially those with attitude.
This is a big running weekend for me. We're off to Texas for a half-marathon. I'm kind of glad the course is mostly downhill after the couple uphill miles -- my quads are stronger than my hamstrings and that will be important, especially because I don't like to strength train my hammie's!
Tonight was a great night for some other reasons. Our running club started up again for spring training so we got to see several friends we haven't seen for a couple months. And, we found out one of our friends became engaged over the holidays - woo-hoo! We were hoping that would happen. She always glowed about him when we ran. We're going to miss her when she moves away!
Until later, run happy!
