Time to update the old blog...
...with a thank you to Clay and his cast and crew for a wonderful tour. I was blessed to see Clay three times during the JukeBox Tour. Amazingly, one of those times was from the front row.
Anyway, I really enjoyed myself at each and every show. (OK, I could have done without the humidity at Indy and Boston...but I think of it as a weight loss from all the sweat, and then I feel better. g) Clay's maturity in performing has grown by leaps and bounds. My hope is that there were several people in each audience who said afterwards, "THAT'S Clay Aiken? Wow. He's not that kid from American Idol anymore."
I must mention that front row is an awesome experience. There are so many more details that are experienced through that closeness. And he's so pretty upclose too.
Another part of the whole fandom, though, is meeting up with old friends and making new ones. In both New Hampshire and Boston, I was able to share a laugh, a song, a drink, and a room with incredible people I'd never met before that weekend. Someone, at one point over the weekend, mentioned that it was just like a sorority. I can see that...a sorority with Clay Aiken as fearless leader. Hee.
This is rambling, and I'm seemingly not coherent anymore. So I'll stop.
But I've got to say...thanks Clay. You made summer 2005 one for the ages.
