There is now a thread on the Clayboard suggesting that Clay needs to endorse some products for income and visibility. In honor of that thread, I composed the following little parody:

What Clay Could Endorse (to the tune of My Favorite Things)

Volvos, Mercedes, or cell phones and jammies iPods, sunglasses, or even the Grammys Oversized bean bags to land on with force These are some things that our Clay could endorse.

Bucket hats, dogfood, collegiate hoodies, Food from McDonalds, or Krispy Kreme goodies, Retro home décor or razors, of course! These are some things that our man could endorse.

Striped socks or hair gel or Kraft macaroni Care Bears or Beanies or My Little Pony Binoculars, lexicons [without remorse]— These are some things that our man could endorse.

When there’s no Clack When the notes crack When we’re feeling sad We simply remember what Clay can endorse And then we don't feel so bad.

I've been gone a while, I know. Partly, I was on the East Coast, attending three Clay concerts (what a TRIP!!!)and on a bit of a downer since my return. Then there was Christmas, and then, well, then ...

No excuses. Let me just say that Clay remains the most phenomenal performer in my experience. He has indicated that he will tour again [ahem] soon. Make no mistake: I will be THERE, whether he comes to my part of the country or not.

Yes, he's that important to me.
