It’s very frustrating watching AI5 and the only reason I (my husband hates it) do is because there is nothing else on TV to our liking. We normally watch sports events and, fortunately, we have “picture in picture”so it helps viewing other programs while keeping an eye on what we like. I zoom in for songs (as long as I can bear to listen) and comments from the panel of TGTW.

First of all, let me say that I really don’t enjoy the music that is being presented. The songs are unfamiliar (possibly due to my age) and are not melodic or even recognizable, if familiar. I’ve been watching faithfully, but not voting since AI2 (Clay was my last and only vote). I like Mandisa’s and Elliot’s voices but have a strong feeling that they can’t win. Chris is very good but seems to be “pimped” by the panel members. This is not a bashing session so no more comments will be made about the other contestants.

AI2 and AI3 was such a treat! Not only was the talent good but the show was very entertaining, especially the group musical numbers. Now, it’s painful to spend one/two hours each week just to see someone get booted off! Instead of wishing someone would stay, I find myself hoping someone will go!

Oh, how I would love to see Clay appear on TGTW and knock the socks off of anything he’d sing. And, I know he could do it !

PS – I thought “Shakira” livened up the show a bit – a real eye-opener and possibly a shock for AI standards.
