Today is Officially my daughter's 31 birthday. She is such a joy. My oldest daughter is my rock. My son is my indulgence.
I have a cat. She is a 17 yr. old Siamese named Sapphire. She has lost all her back teeth both top and bottom but can still give you a nip or a gum. She likes to be warm so even on a hot day she prefers to start her nap under a cover. It is only when she is panting that she will come out and lie on top of her afghan. Oh, did I not tell you I crocheted her an afghan. She loves it and gets mad at me if I wash it. She is really my Birthday girl's cat but when my daughter moved out, Sapphire was too old to move out with her. Cats don't do change easily and old cats don't do change at all. Sapphire has the distinction of being the nicest smelling cat I have ever held. She has the proverbial kitty breath but her coat always smells so nice. I think it is because she is always under something that has fabric softener in it - like a towel, or her afghan, or a sheet. Anyway, she is always a pleasure to hold and nuzzle.
Is it August yet?
