Invisibility

09/26/05

Well, it appears that I have become invisible so I will tell my tale here.

My MIL was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in 1977. She was operated on and all the cancer was gone. She was rediagnosed in 2001 and again operated on. They thought they got all the cancer but apparently not - the cancer spread to the lymph nodes. She has cancer in her lungs, liver and pancreas. She was given 9 months to live without treatment and 18 months with oral chemo (pills) and 22/24 months with injected chemo. Because of her age, she elected to do the pill chemo. So far her spirits seem to be fairly good and she says the chemo isn't bothering her. Unfortunately, the lady wouldn't tell us if it was and because we live 294 km away, we can't see her all that often to check. DH's sister and her family live in Edmonton, but it isn't fair to expect them to do everything. Both DH and I are feeling very sad and worried and sort of helpless. She is is the last living grandparent for our kids.

I loved the Jukebox Tour and if I had a million dollars, my life's work would be to follow Clay from concert to concert. I guess my husband is lucky we are poor. Ha Ha!â„¢CHA
