He has felt our love; he has felt it by the thousands in concert and one on one at meet and greets; he has felt it surrounding his bus From Vancouver to Clearwater; he has felt in our words and in our hearts when we open our pocketbooks or wrap a gift; he has felt it in our tears and laughter.
He has also felt our doubt; when he decided to do interviews on TV entertainment show; when he decided to do a tour of songs from decades past, when he decided to give us a Christmas concert that was not a Christmas concert and now he is feeling our doubts again.
A new CD is on the horizon and there is uncertainty in the fandom; Is it what Clay wants? Is it what the fans want? Can we support a CD that is all love songs, or ballads, or covers. Do we buy the CD and support Clay or do we not and make a point with Clive and RCA with out pocketbooks?
It is not a hard choice for me; I will not allow Clive or RCA to deprive me of that voice or that man; so whether the CD is covers, ballads or 12 versions of the mongolian polka, I will buy it. I will go to a concert and hear Clay sing whether it is in Madison Square Garden or the middle of a cornfield. I will not be part of Clay's failure in order to tell Clive "I told you so".
Clay has said he would fight for us; he has called us passionate and supportive and the best fans in the world...let us live up to those words and fight for him and support him.
I have made my choice, have you made yours?
