Nancy and I have had this conversation many times (and I hope she doesn't mind me including her), but we both feel that Clay is a very smart man and knows exactly what he wants out of his career and is astute enough to realize that being a radio star can only take you so far and that if he is going to be in this business for the long haul, he needs to incorporate TV and Movies in his future. It doesn't mean he won't still be able to record and sell CD's, but there is nothing wrong with a little diversity. He was born to be an entertainer, not just a "pop star" and I really don't understand fans who want to put him in this box and tie it up with a pretty ribbon.

Five or six years down the road; who do you think will be around; K elly or Clay? My bet is on Clay because he is setting the groundwork for a long career and I view this gig with the Insider as just one stepping stone to that career.

Last night I was re-watching the AI performances and I was once again blown away by how far this man has come in such a short time and it boggles the mind how some fans have such little faith in him.

Look what he has accomplished in the last 2 years; 5 tours and he has gone straight from AI to headlining; no opening act gigs for our man...I think that is pretty impressive. He is a Unicef Ambassador and has started his own Foundation; has been on TV Guide 4 times, not to mention Rolling Stone, article in Time, People Magazine (and doesn't it seem he has been popping up there quite regularly?).

The JBT was totally beyond my expectations, I couldn't believe the attention to detail, the set list, costume changes and the vocals. Clay worked his butt off on this show and you just don't do that if your not planning to stick around for awhile.

I believe this man has talents we have not even begun to see yet and I am so excited about his future and what he has in store for us.

Clay knows what he wants from his career and how to go about getting it; I have no doubt about that; trust him.
