My Clay Concert

08/17/05

Ok, I better post about my Clay concert in Columbus, OH before I go to the Indy State Fair tomorrow, before everything starts running together and I forget whats what. First of all, just want to say I was thrilled to be able to cellcert with my cousin in Alaska, claylaskajo. Who knows if Clay will ever make it to Alaska, I was so happy she could hear the whole concert and that my battery lasted through to the end.

We had a four hour drive, got lost in the middle of Columbus for 1 ½ hours, got on the wrong shuttle to our car, but that is all another story.

I took my 28 yr old daughter and her 5 yr old son, Jordan. He was so excited to be going to his first Clay concert and was starstruck when he first saw Clay. After the first several songs he started moving to the music. He loves LLVL because he recognized it from Shrek 2, but now he informed me his second favorite song is when the jukebox gets stuck on “rock and roll”. Go figure! My daughter said that next week when we see Clay in Indy, she wants a T-shirt that says “My mom clayverted me”.

The real reason I wanted to go to Columbus besides seeing Clay was to meet my Clayboard friend, BKFORCLAYANDMK. We met on the Clayboard in March and have been emailing ever since. Finally we met last night in Columbus. The time went by too fast. It was great to see you, Barb!

The concert was awesome last night. After reading through the cellcert, I realized that all I could say was that Clay was so cute and Clay is so gorgeous! Sorry I couldn’t say something you all didn’t already know.

1000 days and Back for More was totally awesome last night. One thing I noticed last night during BFM, by being elevated on the second row in the stands, the way everyone pumps their hands in the air looks so awesome. I’m sure it gives Clay all the more energy to sing his heart out as he did in Columbus.

Next blog will be about the Indy concert! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
