Mothers day is coming up May 10th,So I decided to write a blog honoring my mother along with pictures of beautiful flowers.

Mothers day is Sunday May 10th., so to honor my mother I decided to write this blog as a tibute to her. .

She was born sometime in the late 30's, the daughter of a steel worker and a stay at home mom. After marrying my dad in 1959 they went on the have me and my brother.

Mom worked her way through college as a substite school teacher,then later a full time school teacher as she was taking care of us children and dad. She eventually earned a masters degree in Learning disabilities and went on to teach school as an LD teacher 22yrs before retiring.

Her hobby is making quilts. Since retiring,making quilts and traveling to quilt shows around the country has become the hobby of both my parents. Mom still ocassionally will fill in as a substite teacher when the need arises. She also enjoys taking care of her 4 grandchildren.

To my mom and all the moms out there. I Salute you!
