Chrysador asked me about which pins I designed. Thanks! It started with The Clackhouse pin, Hockeydonna had an idea, I drew some silhouettes, then Invisible 926 did some photoshop magic and a pin was born.

Next came the TXClay Fans pin. I had designed the logo for our site last year so it was a natural to put it in the shape of our beeyootiful state.

I didn't know that a person could become addicted to DESIGNING pins at that time. Ah, the innocence.

Momo asked me to design a pin for her site, Clay Aiken Kids. Maggie asked me to design a Claynadian pin. We ended up with two designs because she liked them both, the flag and the maple leaf. Then xandersmom suggested that it would be funny if one of them said, "Clay, eh?" instead of Claynadian. And it was. So we did that one, too.

Momo talked to Jude and thought it would be cute to have a cluppy pin. I can't wait to see it.

On CH, it was suggested that a librarian pin would be cool. So I designed one with books going vertically and was asked about horizontally. So I changed it. Then I had an epiphany that hands from a certain controversial photo would make a great addition. g Chrysador has taken the lead in distributing this pin.

Nyama wanted a pin for her site, Chatauqua. Momo found an old poster that was the inspiration for this poster. Very Art Nouveau.

Suebee asked me to make a Florida Clay Fans pin. I was immediatly inspired by the memory of the Miami shirt of clingy goodness. Tamara had taken a picture of Clay from behind wearing the picture. I think it was during Miami WDC. I tried every which way to get it into the shape of Florida. I truly didn't realize that Florida is almost as wide as it is long. Which presented a design challenge. I love a challenge!!! What I think of when I think of Florida is sunshine and palm trees (and elderly New Yorkers but that is a different thing altogether). So the epiphany here was to put Florida on Clay's back pocket.

People's Republic of Clay wanted something to remind us of early days. So I thought a republic needs a flag and that is how that design happened.

I have designed some that weren't accepted but I have always had fun doing them.

If anyone is still reading, I would like to send a big MWAH! for all the support I have been given.

Enough of self-aggrandizement and back to art tips tomorrow!!
