09/10/09Our family is very busy. There's always things to do and places to go and many more that I wish I could be online everyday but since I can't. I have a personal goal from here on to try to be here at least once a week. If that doen't work I'll have to t
Today I want to have a new start. We try to not be so busy and one thing our family did is to give up soccer htis year so that we are not always gone 3 times a week at tournaments and games and practices. Now we can just focus on homework, church activities, and family events. It has been nice, very nice to not have to leave the house. I normally would be sitting on the grass watching my daughter practice soccer right now instead of home here online doing this. So far it's less stress. The kids have been playing soccer for 5 years and it's time to take a break. They grow up and have other interests.
On Labor Day we recieved a tragic and very sad news about our neighbor. He was killed in a motorcycle accident. A 16 year old driver in front of him made and illegall uturn and hit him. He died at age 37 leaving behind his 16 year old and 9 year old son. Our prayers are for his family for comfort and strength during this difficult time. The funeral is next Wedneday which my family will be attending.
You never know what tomorrow brings. I learn from this that I will not take a minute for granted and will use the time I have to let people I love and care about know how wonderful they are and how much I appreciate them. I appreciate all of you for being Clay's loyal fan. I'm thankful that Clay will continue to sing for us too.
Anyway, saw Clay picture wearing a striped shirt and he looks happy. I'm happy for Clay. I look forward to hearing more from people and seeing pictures at the Gala. I wish I could be there. I know my Momma Bev from Canada will be there with her friends as well as I'm sure many members from here will be there too. I wish you all a fun and memorable time.
Have a great week everyone!
