For some reason it’s raining here today. Yesterday was about 80 degrees outside. We didn’t need a sweater and the sun was out. In fact, we needed frozen water and fans all day. This morning I had to run to the tech center from my room. I swear it wasn’t raining when I left my room or else I would’ve put actual clothes on instead of my pajamas. When I left the tech center it was actually raining. I was walking and texting simultaneously and all of a sudden when I stepped outside my phone screen started getting wet. I ended up running back to my room and now I’m watching the rain from inside. Good thing I don’t have classes until 1:30

Speaking of classes, it’s midterms week! UGH!! I swear it’s the one-week in the semester I HATE! At least with finals there is a light at the end of the tunnel. With finals you have just one thing due in the class at the end and that’s the final itself. Whereas with midterms, you have projects, papers, readings, quizzes, and then the big mid-term test itself due in the same week.

Well, I’ve got some good news. I GOT A SCHOLARSHIP!!!! I was so surprised because I never check my mailbox here. To be honest, I didn’t even know where the mailboxes were. A friend finally showed me where they were and I opened my mailbox. I was surprised to see all this junk in there from January and February of this year. After sorting through the junk, I came across an envelope. I opened it and it said, “Congratulations you have been nominated for the Nursing [whatever it’s called] Scholarship…You were chosen because of good academic standing…[blah blah blah]”. The funny thing was, the letter was dated from 4 days ago. So I signed it and turned it into Admissions and went to go work a festival in the school’s courtyard.

This weekend I'm baking cookies and other baked goods for Cancer patients. I'm not sure If I'm going to do participate in the Breast Cancer walk because of "aunt flow" (ugh who uses aunt flow any more?? the term is soo high school locker room), but we'll see.

Well I’ve got to go make up a good thesis for the “Epic of Gilgamesh” and submit it to my instructor for approval.
