COME ON IN!

. IT'S MY FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR AGAIN. TIME FOR ME TO USE THOSE "NOT SO NICE" PICTURES. I HAVE TO DO SCAREY, BECAUSE I JUST HAVE TO. BESIDES, NOONE ELSE WILL PROBABLY DO IT. IT'S REALLY HARD TO CHOOSE WHICH PICTURES TO USE, BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY GREAT ONES. I WON'T USE THE WORST OF THEM, I PROMISE.

.

. *

I wrote a little poem about a ghost over 30 years ago, and it's always been one of my favorites. It's not scarey, but it fits this time of year. Anyhow, it's all I have.

.

MY LADY MAREE

My Lady Maree is ghostly pale,

As she glides along, she leaves no trail.

She comes from nowhere, and where she goes,

Is her secret alone, for only she knows.

.

I never did see her in the light,

She only visits me late at night.

Time was when I feared my Lady Maree,

But that was before she spoke to me.

.

She's searching for a part of the past,

And when she finds it she'll rest at last.

I said I would help, but she'd disagree,

"I have to find it myself, you see."

.

Into each room she'd peek and peer,

She'd ne'er miss a corner, far or near.

From cellar, to bedroom, to attic she'd glide,

Now where could a piece of the past ever hide?

.

I hope and I pray every night

That's it's well hidden out of sight.

For she's come to mean so much to me,

My tiny, ghostly, Lady Maree.
