Just wondering....

Each week I can't help but notice that there are numerous new CDs being released. I very seldom recognize any of these artists. Who are these people or groups? Do they really all hve a lot of fans and followers? How many CDs do they sell? It's hard for me to believe that there are enough people out there willing to buy all of these CDs, of which there seems to be no end to. Then too, each year Idol turns out a slew of new singers who will also put out thier own albums. Do they really sell enough CDs to make a go of it as a legitimate singer? They must have to keep thier day jobs. A few make it big, but what about those without a big following? I'm sure friends, as well as neighbors and relatives buy a few. I'm very curious as to how many albums sold are enough. When does a new artist just give up for lack of interest and sales? In my opinion, there are already way too many singers out there already, with thousands waiting for thier big chance. Good luck on that! Even Clay Aiken, with the best voice ever, hasn't found it easy.
