My favorite time of the year
The rummage sales are finally here, and I love my rummage sales. Sometimes my purchases make no sense. I think the child in me takes over when I go bargain hunting.
We had our annual village rummage sales this past weekend. As usual, the weather was awful, but I managed to visit quite a few of them. I see things. Things I don't need and can't use, but the child in me wants them, and I can't seem to fight that urge to make the purchase.
One of my prizes this year is a huge, stuffed white tiger, which now occupies the couch in the basement. It just sits there......doesn't do a thing, but I wanted it.
The other prize purchase was 3 life-sized turkey decoys. I really needed those. (NOT) I put them way back in the yard, and every time I look out the window, I get startled at the sight. I have no idea why I buy what I buy. It puzzles me.....sometimes I puzzle me. But the child in me is just delighted at my newfound treasures.
