Where have all the butterflies gone? As a child I assumed they would always be part of my life. We had all sorts of beautiful varieties constantly soaring over our garden. I especially remember them under our apple tree. Since moving to Belgium over 40 years ago, they have all but disappeared for me. It's seldom that I see any sort of butterfly come through my yard. Okay, my flower garden is all but nonexistant, but I do have an apple tree, and all I see there, are bees. I haven't seen a Monarch butterfly in years. Does anyone else notice thier decline, or is it just this area, and my yard they are ignoring? I hope you all are still able to enjoy them.
