Ah Clay, we knew it all along

You know, we knew, we knew it all along.
We HEARD it. We heard it the first time you opened your mouth. We knew we were experiencing someone special. We just knew.
We SAW it. We could see beyond the hair, the glasses, the clothes. We could see the person, the essence, of someone who was there to change lives. We just knew.
We EXPERIENCED it. We watched you grow - change before our eyes. We listened with our ears, we listened with our hearts, we listened with our souls. Not just to the music, but to words of compassion, love and caring. We just knew.
So now we get to WITNESS the rest of the world finding out what we knew all along. To be honest, it's a little bittersweet.
Clay, be sure to remember us, the ones who knew from the beginning. And while you're soaring to the absolute pinnacle, we'll be right here - watching, smiling, loving and supporting you.

ETA: How wonderful Clay looks - how HAPPY!!! Every picture that I've seen has made me smile, and then cry, and then smile again!!!
Is there a certain point that you get all cried out?? Sure hope I hit it "soon"!!!
Well, until March when I get to go see Spamalot, in which case I'll have to cry again because I know that my husband will NOT want to stand by the stage door (may need to just send him back to the hotel.)
Also, does anyone have any ideas on how I can convince my husband to go to one more show??? JUST ONE MORE???? I COULD be asking to go Friday, Saturday/Saturday and Sunday/Sunday - but i would settle for JUST ONE MORE!!!! Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!
