The Big Easy

07/08/05

What a fun day to be a Clay fan.

One of my favorite memories from the last couple of years (Is that all it's been?) is from a night in December 2003(1) when Clay was singing at one of the Jingle Balls. Since these radio concerts were the first time Clay performed on his own, even if only a few songs, there was lots of excitement.

I was following along at The Clackhouse where people were bringing cellcert (tm Clay Aiken) reports from around Claydom (tm walk127).

One fan reports: "He looks good. His shirt is ironed."

Another follows: "He looks good. He's not too orange tonight."(2)

It made me laugh and I was struck by how very easy we are. We're happy if he shows up in an ironed shirt and he's not TOO orange.

We've always been easy. It takes so little really.

Like a few words in a blog.

I hope Team Clay remembers it.

Tomorrow the ticket sales post to end all posts. But not in the blog.

What I would love to hear Clay sing on the JBT: Love Shack

One question I will ask Clay when I win the Clay and a vial truth serum contest: Were you or were you not pissed that the TITN video leaked?

(1) Quiet1ne, the human encyclopedia of Clay knowledge. Go ahead. Ask her anything. (2) Refers to a time long ago when Clay and bronzer were a little too friendly.
