Its Been A Long Time!

09/20/09

Hi to everyone!

I know I havent' blogged in a long time. It has been a rough year for us. In January my MIL was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. It was a struggle for her until June 25 when she left us to go be with her heavenly Father. It was hard to let go, but we know she is in a better place and whole again. We had to make a lot of trips to Eugene since Jan. We did get to spend lots of time with her and our daughter and SIL were able to come see her in Feb. before she really got sick. I'm so happy they were able to do that. In April we had move her into an Residential Living facility....It was a very nice place and she was well taken care of. She is missed so much. She was the best MIL, so loving and caring. She knew I loved Clay and she was always supportive of me. She liked his voice too. She always made me feel like a daughter...In fact she alway bragged that she had two beautiful and lovely DIL's. Me and my SIL. Pam and I were very lucky to have her in our lives.

Since her death we again have made lots of trips to Eiugene to settle estate stuff. WE had to put her place up for sale. A place she lived in for 62 years. She actually lived only a mile and a half from where she was born. It is not easy to let the place go, but none of us live in Eugene any more.

After mom's passing, two weeks later we had to put our wonderful dog Mollie to sleep. She had developed cancer. We had her since she was 6 months old and she was almost 15. She was such a wonderful sweet dog. We miss her very much.

MOLLIE

Then two weeks after that one of my best friends in Eugene, lost her husband to a heart attack as he was traveling to Seattle. He was only 54. AT one point it felt like the sad things we not going to stop. But Praise God they have.

We have been so blessed with so many wonderful friends and a very loving family to help us thru the rough times. I beleive in my heart that if it wasn't for my faith things would have been a lot harder.

Now its time to put all the sad things of this past year behind and to look to the future. I

Love all of the Clay fans I have come to know and consider friends. Still not sure how often I will make it in here but will try to a little bit more often. I'm back to work so my summer is over.

Take care and God Bless You All! A Clay fan Forever and Always!
