New Orleans has this very complicated evacuation plan that is devised to be implemented in three phases. My area appears to be in the Phase III portion of the plan. And then there's the whole "contraflow" plan where roads will be diverted, highways will be used as detours and interstates will be appropriated.
I took notes. I listened carefully. And I have no $#%$#^ idea how this plan is supposed to work.
As of the last tracking the big bully appears to be heading toward Destin/Pensacola/Gulf Shores. But big storm events are like the Super Bowl to Meteorologists. They get on tv and draw lines, arrows, plays, swirls and chatter excitedly about high pressure systems and low pressure steering currents. Our guys are convinced we are still in the big game and are having fun speculating about strategic margins of error.
I can see how Clay would be attracted to this line of work.
