[83] Stand In The Line Just To Hit A New Low
01/10/08Hey y'all.
I hope an amazing Christmas and New Year was enjoyed by all. Unfortunately, we haven't had a good start to my 2008.
Last Saturday morning my Brother-In-Law, who has had a major hand in my care since Dad took ill, lost his Great Uncle. Although he is buried already, we have no conclusive cause of death or a certificate yet. As usual, my way to deal with it is joking; Dad and me are saying he's buried alive and all sorts of stuff.
Then, on Tuesday disaster struck closer to home. My 2nd cousin Robyn, who is just 7 years old, was diagnosed with Diffusely Infotrate Brain Stem Glioma. She has a prognosis of 6 months to a year, but only if they manage to stun the tumour on her Brain Stem with radio and chemo. It will not shrink, only slow the growth.
My Aunty Nancy, Robyn's Nana, has been inundated with prayers and wishes since her diagnosis. Aunt Nancy died around 9 years ago of MS. My sister has gone head-first into research, and we all are believing that there will be light at the end of another tunnel in another country or another course of action. Today we found an alternative treatment which is shrinking the tumour in other patients, and that was found with an hour of research. We also found out that a high PH will kill all types of Cancer cells.
Little Robyn was allowed out of hospital today to attend a ceremony for MS as she raised the most money, £100, as a single person for the charity. We're all behind her to take life by the horns now, and The Hollywood's never give up hope or prayer.
I myself am sick today, throwing up since 6 this morning [it's now 4 in the afternoon]. Life's hard, but we're survivors. Please, if you pray for me and my family, pray for Robyn and hers. I need to get her through this, however I manage.
If anyone knows anything about Diffusely Infiltrate Brain Stem Glioma please contact me and I will take anything you have to say. We'll take all we can get.
