Newark - part 2 - mini vaClaytion

09/04/07

Newark is our next stop. This time it was just my mum, sis and I. We were in Newark just for the weekend. Why we travelled all the way to Newark was 'cos when the tickets went on sale, I managed to snag 3 2nd row tickets! I wasn't even thinking of going at the time! We couldn't pass up 2nd row tickets 'cos at the time it would've been the closest we've ever seen Clay. Little did we know we could snag 1st row in Houston!

Newark Clay was playful. This was the concert when he decided to jump down from the stage. My mum was sitting right on the aisle and when Clay fell, he fell right front of her. She was so worried that he had fallen. There was a gasp in the audience and a loud slap on the hardwood floor. I remember that sound very well. Anyway, Clay got quickly and somehow got to singing to these 2 ladies from NJ behind us. I looked down at Clay's hand and saw 3 hands instead of just 1! My mum was holding hands with Clay. She was very worried and kept asking him if he was all right.

Clack taking that night was excruciatingly difficult. The usher guy was quite a nuisance and kept saying in a loud, booming voice that he was going to take the cameras away. I persisted. I came too far to go away with nothing.

The handshake line that night was a sight to see. It snaked all over the parking lot. I was happy that I got a hand touch that night.

It was a tiring journey but well worth it.
