The Clay Adeventure Part 2

WEST POINT

We drove up to West Point and it wasn't too difficult of a drive. We arrived at Hotel Thayer, which was situated outside of the military base of West Point.

My family and I decided to drive up to the theatre earlier than usual as we wanted to take a look at West Point. How often does one get to West Point! We saw a lot of army memorobilia like cannons and statues of generals. It was very interesting! We arrived at the theatre and had signed up for the pre-party. Pretty soon Claymates started to arrive and filled up the eating area quickly. Our pre-party was now underway and there again, we met mblovesclay who was our camping buddy on Hollywood Blvd last September outside the Virgin Megastore. There were many other fans at the party and it was so good to see everyone again. Everyone was so excited to see Clay but yet worried that he was not well.

When the time came for Clay's concert, everyone piled in and settled in for the show. That's when we find out that cameras were not permitted. When Clay strode out that night, he looked much better than he did the night before. He looked so good in that grey suit and white shirt with no tie. Oh and that stubble!! Phew! How I wish I could have taken more pictures! He did that New York accent thing again. Clay is so comfortable with the audience and I think it's his way of finding out why his fans love him so much. His voice was superb that night.

All too soon the concert was over. Everyone piled out and went to the buses. He didn't come out that night and Mary came out to say that he was OK and to not worry. Everyone then left and went their separate ways.

Stay tuned for Red Bank.
