GREENSBORO

Our last stop of JNAT 2006 - Greensboro. We decided to stay at a hotel called "O'Henry". It was such a beautiful hotel; it was built to look old with lots of British influence. We saw some ladies in their fancy clothes and hats sipping tea and eating crumpets in the lobby. There were even London taxis at your disposal to take you where you wanted to go.

The night came for Clay's last and final concert. Such a bittersweet night. We want to see the last show but we don't want to 'cos it's the last show.

My sister and I sat beside a couple from Raleigh. The husband we met is a ClayDawg! He absolutely loved Clay! I gave him my Clay info card so that we can keep in touch. He told me that he and his wife loved Clay and didnt' have an AIW. My sister and I decided to send the couple an AIW after we got home. :o) Claying it forward!

Clay was so on that night! His family members were in the audience and I'm sure they must've been so proud of Clay that evening! Clay was so hilarious that evening. The sound system wasn't that great at the War Memorial Theatre. There was static sounds. The static sounds sound like gunshots. It was during SR that Farmer Grey got killed! Then, during TCS, there was the static sounds again; this time they sounded like flatulence. Clay did that wave thing at the back of him. The whole audience just cracked up over these 2 scenarios. The best of it all was when he sang AIW and he hit all the notes bang on!! Such applause!

That night at the buses, Clay again came out to shake everyone's hands. My mum decided that she wanted to meet Clay and endured the cold and the waiting. She finally got to shake his hand and said "It was worth the wait and cold!" My sister and I also got to shake his hands again. That's 4 times for me this tour! In 7th heaven!!

After the buses left, the crowd quickly vanished and all was left was my family, stripedshirts, CLAYGAL, clayzygrandmother, and Angelita (I forget your username). We all tearfully said our goodbyes and gave everyone a hug. So sad!
