Well, no Clay for me tonight.
After losing our tickets to NYC, I finally got through Ticketmaster's endless prompts and the person assured me they would be waiting for us at the Beacon on the night of the show.
Okay.
So we got on the train and went into the city. Doing good. But then? We can't get a cab. And I mean we CANNOT get a cab. The cab line wait was 30-45 minutes to get IN the cab, plus getting up to 76th or wherever it is. And it was getting to be 7:30, shows starts at 8.
In the end, we decided to go home. Both Mom and I were afraid that we wouldn't be able to get a cab back to GC based on how horrible it was trying to get one TO the show. And since it would be so late, if it took too long there was a chance we could miss the last train. So we went home.
At least we have next week at the Oakdale. 20 minutes away, tickets in my hand, no trains or taxis. I made Mom promise me it would be the best show ever. I don't even want to know how tonight's show was. I'm upset and disappointed, but I know it could be worse.
