  Okay I would like to add my 2 cents to this discussion

  I was in the meet and greet and I was the person who asked the question about the video.

  Let me explain why first. This is an issue I felt strongly about The day after the taping of the skating show when all of the home made tapes started showing up on You Tube I personally felt that it was totally inappropriate. NONE of that footage should have been put up on there. When I read the thread about it alot of the posters felt the same way I did but then there were those fans that felt it was their right to have the videos there. That since Clay "allows" videotaping of his shows then he would never have a problem of this being posted. That NBC wouldn't mind having this stuff posted. there. after all it was free advertisement. NBC and their sponsors are going to put out Millions of dollars to promote this show. They don't need an unedited version of it on put up on You Tube. I am pretty certain they want to have everyone see the perfectly edited product. I think that having these home videos on you tube could actually cut into their bottom line.

  I guess I felt if Clay didn't address this then some fans would always feel he is okay with it. I knew by asking the question it could be a hot topic issue Especially if he didn't say what most fans wanted to hear. I completely understand the need for Clack I know alot of the country cannot always see these shows and depend on Clack as a way of seeing the show. and I would have hated him to say honestly and completely he was against it. But when I was honored with a Meet and greet and everyone was asking me what I was going to ask. this is the one question I wanted to have answered. I knew how he would feel about taping commercial shows and posting them on the internet was not right. It's just common sense. When he asked me what I wanted to ask I said:

  I posted this yesterday on the Paclayfans group and this is exactly what was said. I paid very close attention since I really, really wanted to know the answer. I think Clay really did want to answer the question as well. HE infact did say to spread it around. I think that the question gave him the opportunity to say somethings that may have been bothering him. I could be wrong but he really did elaborate on it.

  This is what he said:

  Qoute: I asked him about how he felt about the Video taping of his shows and then posting it on You Tube. He said He doesn't mind the videotaping of HIS Shows he says that HE OWNS HIS shows. and although he is not sure about the content of the shows. like the Copyright on the songs he is singing in the show. He said that he really didn't care much about that since they won't be sueing him anyway. He asked that if you are putting stuff on You Tube to NOT put any of his mistakes on You tube. and then he said to I think Mary Remember that time last year when I didn't hit that note and it was all over You Tube. On the other end of that he said if he is taping a tv show like the NBC Skating on Ice. He thinks it is very WRONG to put anything like that on You tube. He said he doesn't own that show and is only a performer and to post it on you tube is VERY RUDE

  I don't think anyone asked about the cameras at the shows but he took the opportunity to address that as welll.

  Then he discussed the camera policy and he said he doesn't care at all about cameras He said HE Hates the flash and that is the only thing he feels strongly about. He said it effects the people on stage and the lighting. He did say it was great when they were putting tape over the flashes and then said He was going to blog about this but didn't want to be mean so asked us to pass the word. There is also a light on the camera he said it was the Red Eye light He asked to also put tape over that as well. He said that is distracting I said that this venue was Not allowing cameras. and he said it was a venue policy. I told him I had been to the venue before and they allow cameras if the artist does. He and Mary explained that what happens is That They Clay's people will allow cameras, however they DO NOT WANT Flashes. IF the venue does not want to deal with flashes then the venue will institute the no Camera policy He did say if people use flashes they SHOULD be asked to leave and he is very okay with that Again I paid very close attention to this since I had a conversation with Jerome bofore going in and Jerome told us pretty much what he had said at the previous show. that because of the flashes that if people do not understand NO Flashes then they will understand no Cameras He did say they would try again to allow them to see how it goes. After Clay said he didn't care about camera at all. I said well Jerome does. He told us absolutely NO Cameras. I am probably on some list now
  That is when they explained about it being a venue rule and that is explained above. I now understand that too. I don't like it but I understand it I did take pictures that night and no one bothered me at all

  I honestly think his answer should make everyone happy. It is pretty simple If you have questionable videos do not post them at all anywhere, If you have the opportunity to go to a special event, tv taping. I think in my opinion would be to NOT video tape at all. But if you do then do post it anywhere on the internet. Once it is posted on the internet then you have absolutely NO Control of becomes of it. You can tag it watermark it you can ask it to be removed but once it is out there wave good bye to it. because you can guarantee it will show up where ever you don't want it Everyone says how much Clay does for the fans. and there are very few occasions where Clay has made requests of the fans. I think he is using the meet and greets to let the fans know how he feels about things.

  Okay I am off now I am sorry so long but since my question got 9 pages I felt I needed to explain. If anyone has anymore questions please ask I will try and answer. I have posted exactly what was said. It was something that was important to me so I really, really paid attention.
