I learned, from coordinating this group sale, that Claymates are obsessed with Clay - yet they are compassionate, caring, supportive, and wonderful women - they just really love Clay and want to "count the freckles on his face" at the concert.
I also learned that presales are NOT done fairly. A presale is misleading in that it leads you to believe you have access to all seating before the general public. In actuality, a few "select" seats throughout the theater are available through it - and not necessarily the best seating.
I'm trying to learn - how all the seating I did not get in the first five rows are being scalped on an auction website - the unfairest thing of all - and who had access to that seating before anyone else so they could profit on it.
I do believe...that Clay fans are so passionate and supportive of Clay that they should work with the production company to write into their contract that the first 10-15 rows of any concert are for the fan club members (Barry Manilow did it, so it can be done, although he unfortunately charges an outrageous price for those seats) and an advocate (I would be willing!) should work with the theaters to conduct a fair fan club presale giving them the very best seats. They deserve that!
I hope to learn....that Clay is an awesome entertainer and all this was worth my efforts. I am sooo looking forward to December 17, seeing Clay, and meeting all the wonderful women who beared with me through this ordeal!!!
