Hi Everyone,
Those great looking guys on my badge are my two sons. :)
My name is Hope - really it is. I was born and raised in Eau Claire, Wisconsin; a city of about 70,000 located 80 miles east of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota.
I'm 'late to the party. 'Discovered' Clay Aiken through my eldest son who sent me a couple of you tube links of a singer 'with the purest vocals he had ever heard.' I now spend a Huge amount of time chasing all things Clay Aiken on the internet.
Graduated from University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 1987 (as an 'older adult returning student') with a degree in political science; some graduate studies at University of Wisconsin - Madison. Had a successful career working for public & non-profit Associations as a legislative assistant, doing research and lobbying, writing/editing magazine and newsletters, working with legislators, coordinating large events and board of director meetings, conducting membership drives, maintaining databases, office management, etc., until I became disabled.
Hobbies are ALL things Clay Aiken, spending an inordinate amount of time on the internet, politics, genealogy, flower gardening, reading, and writing poetry and short stories. I don't watch much TV; favorite show types are historical/biographical, 'discovery' programs, crime shows like The Closer and CSI, and strangely enough, Sci-Fi shows..........love them for their sheer goofiness - you know, the 'B' rated types.
