AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME I SHALL NEVER FORGET!!
My friend Tiggie (Cooltigger is on this board and also won a M&G for Pittsburgh) and I were standing with all the other Meet & Greeters and I was so lucky to meet the sweet and kind ClaySugar who was sharing her fan and airconditioning! It was HOT! Wait til you see the pics I got of you and Clay, Claysugar!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Well this security guy (not Jerome he's sick) comes up and starts telling us that he's gonna push us through very fast. Have our camera's ready so that Nick can take a picture and then leave. I said "How fast"? He said 15 seconds. You could tell that peeps were disappointed. 15 SECONDS!!! So he then says follow me and we all start going in. The crowd started clapping for us. We go into this little fenced in area out in the 95 degree sun (it was probably more like 85 but felt like 105. Peeps tend to get hot when meeting Clay). What was upsetting is that he stuck us all facing the sun. We were all dying from the heat and asked if we could move to the shade side. He said no. (Jerome wouldn't have said no) Anywhoo there was this little table and they said Clay would come there. There wasn't a chair so we knew he'd be standing. As you can see by my pics it was very small. We waited and I talked to Nick for a few minutes and then...there he was... Clayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
He looked beautiful. I've never seen him look more gorgeous!!! The first lady was in a wheelchair and this security guy wasn't lying. He signed something then a pic, then she was gone. Next was ClaySugar!! She is from this board and was the sweetest lady. She was so kind and let me use her fan. We were sweating so bad. I got a few pics of her and Clay! EEEEE! I was third in line. It was my turn and I went up and Mary asked me if I had anything for him to sign. I said I had my book and a picture. She said she was sorry only one item. It only took a second for me to realize that my gift was being at that meet and greet. My best friend Lisa was hoping to get her fan club pic signed and it was a no brainer. So I gave Mary the pic and she handed it to Clay . I Walked up to Clay and said:
Lisa: Hi Clay
Clay: Hi, how are you? What's your name?
Lisa: * looked at my hand, looked up at him, showed him my hand
Clay: You had to write down your name on your hand?
Lisa: No, my name is Lisa. I had to write down my questions on my hand.
Clay: Oh Lord. Hi Lisa (he laughed, which is what I was hoping for)
Lisa: This is for my best friend Lisa. (Talking about the picture.) Clay signed it "Lisa, Use your voice". Clay Aiken
Lisa: Clay, I love "Back for More" It's gonna be a hit.
Clay: Well thank you very much.
Lisa: Clay, how about a DVD .. (I REALLY TRIED YOU GUYS!!! But the security guy comes up and says Nick is gonna take your picture)
Lisa: Wait!! I have a present for you! I bought him a Pittsburgh Panther shirt, nutterbutters and dentyne fire and ice.
Clay: Just hand it to Mary, Lisa. (he said my name again)
Lisa: I handed the gift to Mary, but I wasn't gonna give her the special gift I got for him.
Lisa: Clay, I have something special I want to give to you. It was then I pulled out the Bolt Babe Pin.
Clay: He took it, opened it (I put it in a real pretty velvet pin box).
Clay: Well thank you very much, I don't have this one!!!!
Lisa: It's from the Bolt Babes He smiled so big!!
Clay: Thank you very much!! Lisa, Let's go take a picture.
So Nick took my camera, Clay put his hand around my waste and I'm thinking ok this is my chance. I put my hand around his back and waste and tiltled my head towards his shoulder. I was in heaven,
Lisa: Clay, you smell so good. (he did, I never smelled anything like that and it was very strong. It was as if he just sprayed the bottle over his entire body. I honestly did not have to sniff him. It was overpowering and wonderful. ) Very masquline.
Clay: That's because I just took my weekly shower!!!!!!
Lisa and Clay and others: (Laughing at Clay's snark)
So I was finished...NOT! As I'm walking away I hear this beautiful voice say Lisa, Lisa (in that sweet southern accent )!!!!! I turn around and it's Clay holding the picture. Do you want the picture, Lisa? I was ready to walk away without it. That would have been very bad.
Lisa: Thank you, Clay (and off i went around the back of the peeps still in line). I wanted to get Tiggy's picture so I snuck back in.
The security guy finally caught up with me and nicely asked me to leave. But I got the pics I wanted.
Clay was sweet, beautiful, charming, snarky, funny and made me feel very special and smelled delicious.
I will never forget any of it or any of you. Thank you for all the beautiful notes and love you have shown me since I won this special meeting with our special man. My only hope is that all of you will be able to experience the joy that I did!!
Looking at the picture of Clay and me, I must say I have never seen Clay Aiken look so beautiful!
