For whatever reason,I just can't bring my self to do a song-by-song,note-by-note,moment-by-moment description of my shows....I admire those of you that can do that but (at least this time) I just can't do it. Those nights are going to stay "in the moment",only in my memory, kind of just between me and Clay in a manner of speaking.
But I can and do want to write about everything surrounding those precious moments I spent hearing him and seeing him. Starting with the efforts of WinkyDink to make sure that we all got the best seats possible for all of our shows....to her graciously driving us everywhere and back again....to the fabulous hotel rooms she booked for us....none of would have happened without her. For my roomie ShadyLil who had almost as much fun watching me see Clay from the second row for the very first time at West Point as she did watching him and who laughed at all my jokes (even the smutty ones ) For Deezer....Sunday morning in Red Bank ,the four of us went shopping together,my first time ever shopping with a bunch of girlfriends.....there are moments that you see in movies and on TV but you don't expect to see them in real life. Well,Deezer gave me one of those moments by doing one of,if not THE,nicest things anyone has ever done for me. There are not enough words in the world to thank you my friend.
I'm a very,very shy and introverted person in real life....partly by nature and partly because I was picked on and bullied and abused through out my school years(and at some of my jobs as well). If I had a dollar for every time I was told "Nobody wants to talk to you" or "Nobody likes you",I could win every StubHub auction for the next two tours. So those of you that said "I really wanted to meet you!" have no idea how much that simple phrase meant to me. I am just so sorry that through lack of time,changed plans, or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time I couldn't meet more of you (and my bad hearing means I met some of you and didn't realize it *waves to cameocat)
But those of you whom I did meet....newmie-how else does someone from PA get to be friends with someone from CT except by meeting at Clay concerts in NY? SusanD and mamarose...happy to meet you and hope to get to know you better.Jojoct & friend Shirley....look up the words "charming and gracious" in the dictionary and you'll find their pictures along side of the lovely Ficus. The memory of sitting in the hotel lobby and sharing breakfast with the wonderful PermaSwooned and nicegurrrl is one I will long treasure (hope the little doggie is feeling better soon and you are too). I don't know if the NJU lady named Lori has made her way here or not,but her and her delightful teenage daughter gave me some of the sweetest memories of my trip.....may your bond with Clay and with each other stay strong for many,many more years.

To anyone I forgot to mention...my apologies for having a senior moment induced by The Aiken.
And finally to Clay Aiken....I can't quite figure out how I got from noticing a skinny kid on a TV show to being someone that goes to three shows in three different states in one week. How you not only manged to make me get my suitcases out of mothballs ,but my life as well. How I know that when I'm around other people that love you,I'll be accepted as well. Your strength and determination,your courage and your spirit at West Point took my breath away and astounded me.....your performance at Red Bank,especially your final exit and your boarding the bus,broke my heart. I told you before...."Please take care Clay,you mean the world to me"....I mean it even more today,always,and forever.
In one of your blogs you gave us a greeting in Spanish.....I would give to you a farewell in the same language "Vaya con Dios". It means,literally, to "Go with God"....but I know that you already do.
