It's been awhile since I've blogged... I guess the JBT left me numb for awhile... it was phenomenal … absolutely THE BEST thing you’ve done so far, Clay, but sweetie, there is just one little “negative” thing I have to say about it, and I hope you don't mind me voicing my opinion (welll, even if you DO…[you know how we redheads are!], but it's a crying shame that the entire country wasn't given the opportunity to see it, because it was THAT FANTASTIC - I feel sorry for all of those west of the Mississippi (that would include me 'cept I traveled to see you!) that were not included in this tour! I know you don’t need any “boosts” to your career, but there are a lot of people who have no idea what an amazingly diversified talent you are, and a tour that was obviously so thoroughly and intricately planned, rehearsed and professionally done… well, it seems kind of a waste that it didn’t cover the entire country. (Please don’t look at me that way!)
IF ONLY……. AN “EXTENSION” OF THAT TOUR WERE POSSIBLE!!! Come on now, Clay, you know you like to keep busy and whatcha doin’ after JNT2?? You know what they say about “idle time”… and, heck, you can handle working on your new CD, UNICEF, more T.V. appearances, interviews, (Kenneth Cole fashion shows), etc., etc. AND do an extra leg of the JBT all at the same time, can’t you?? I just don’t see why not cuz you’ve already proven to us that you’re a “multi-task” person!
O.k., back to the “subject” of this blog (as noted in the subject line above). All that chatter above I really had no intention of saying, but I sometimes tend get carried away from the intended “subject” which, as noted, was supposed to be…“Getting Over Clay”…..(no, I don’t want to and I’m NOT going to!) … I just thought I’d share with you another comment made by DD (aka my daughter) recently…. (I think she’s getting tired of hearing me talk ad nauseum about OMC and the JBT)…
She said something to the effect that it’s too bad there isn’t a “12-step Program” for “Getting Over Clay Aiken” for she would gladly pay to enroll me in it! I actually think this as a good sign for I’m guessing it means her prior threats of “putting me in a home” have been thwarted (ain’t that sweet – she doesn’t want to get rid of me after all!). She said there needs to be some kind of a cure out there for this “condition”…. I don’t think my response made her very happy. I simply said….
I DON’T WANT TO BE CURED!!!
Clay, I just love you sooooo much…
P.S. Eeeeeeeeeekkkk – if DD ever saw this, she’d be back to the “ putting me in the home” threat and she’d be checking me in tonight!
