    A new year; time for a new blog.

    Well, its that time of year again for me. Back to school. I feel like winter break just flew by. Too fast for me it seems.

    Its also that time of year when that little show called American Idol comes back on and enthrals a country. I know its done the same to me. And since season 3, I've been taping it every week for fear of what I missed in season two. Season 3 finished and really didn't miss anything. Season 4 I'm glad I did because I love Carrie and its great to have her journey recorded. Season 5 gave me the best of what I could have expected of that season. I haven't liked that many contestants since season 2. So many favorites to choose from it was hard to cheer for just one. Elliott, Taylor and Chris emerged as my favorites and am happy to say that I am proud of what they have accomplished so far.

    And so tonight begins a new season. And a new chapter in Idol history. But none will be greater than the second place finish by the guy from North Carolina we all fell in love with.
