Have you ever just got into the car with a friend and said, "Let's go."
"Where?"
"Wherever the car takes us!"
Well...I've not done that. I've never been the type of person who's ever been on a trip like that. In fact, I need a road map, a plan of where I'm going, which cities I'll pass on the way (so I know I'm not lost) and how long it's going to take to get there. The funny thing is that even though I've always been that type of person, there's been a part of me that has wanted to chase a dream or go on an adventure without knowing how it's going to end up. But I've always been afraid...afraid of the unknown, afraid of failure, and afraid of being hurt.
But this year I'm going to chase my dreams. I'm going to go on an adventure without knowing how it's going to turn out. I'm going to get out of my comfort zone.
I know, I can hear you already. "BWAH! She'll never do that." I beg to differ with you. I've already started my adventure. I've been applying for jobs all the way across the state. I'm ready to move and ready to start a new chapter in my life. I don't know how this is all going to work out.
But what I do know is that my life has not been perfect. It's had a bunch of INSANELY CRAZY twists and turns that have taken me to the top and dropped me off at the bottom. That uncertainty has led me in the past to cling to the stable things in my life to the point that I was paralyzed to try new things. Not anymore. I refuse to be chained to my comfort zone that refuses to let me grow and change. I'm ready, willing and able to fly. Now all I'm waiting for is the opportunity. I've done all I can to put myself in the position for others to see me and take a chance on me.
