I'm really just writing this for myself....I always feel better when I get things out in writing.

I truly expected this to be a glorious week of celebration......finally hearing some new music from the most incredible voice on earth. That did happen, and I am beyond ecstatic to have these heavenly tunes wandering in and out of my thoughts during the day. Life is good.....sometimes.

Of course, the down side of the week has been the media. I just don't understand how in my lifetime of 50+ years, that society hasn't progressed one iota. With all of the really "important" stuff going on in the world why something so insignificant can cloud what should be a truly happy time....for Clay.....his family....and us, his fans.

These questions will never be answered...but I do have to ask them anyway. Why are people so cruel....especially to someone that they don't even know? Why do people want to know the answer to "that question"? What does it matter? Will our society every progress past stereotyping and prejudice in my lifetime? Sadly, I think the answer to that one is no.

Clay....I'm pretty sure you will never see this, but.....You are an incredible human being, full of love, kindness, respect, caring and gratitude....you deserve the same in return.

You stated that you hope people will like you for your singing.....well, you can ALWAYS count me in that group. But I also admire your integrity and class.

I pray that God folds His loving arms around you and keeps you forever in His heart. You have brought so much joy to my life.....I hope that we can do the same for you.

Thank you for staying true to who you are.

    Much love....

    Cathie
