Ok, time to join in the fun. I have never done a blog before and surely do not know the rules. So maybe I can learn by doing.
I have been spending the last two months in Germany. My husband is currently working on assignment in Bremen. I will be heading home in August to visit family (and go to a few concerts...) This is the third time I have scheduled a return trip home so I could go to a Clay Aiken concert. I'm thinking there maybe another return in December - IF the holiday concert schedule is released soon enough.
The biggest event this summer in this area is the arrival of the Tall Ships. I love Talls Ships! We were very lucky when they came to Boston to view them from a ship in the harbor. They will be here in the middle of August. Where will I be? (waves)Hi Clay! I'm sure my husband will take pictures. Oh, scratch that. I will be taking the camera home with me on the unlikely chance that I will be able to take it to a concert and get a photo of you-know-who. Oh well, my husband can pick up a disposable camera somewhere..
Tonight I am watching a yearly celebration called "Rhine on Fire." Cruise boats loaded with passengers are traveling the Rhine River. There are fireworks and bonfires all along the way. The people on the shore are waving sparklers. It is quite a sight.
There is also music. Ok, Bolero is over and now it seems someone is singing the Unicorn song in German. I'm sure there is a reason...
Now we have blue grass. "Ya Ya Yippee Kai Ya." Yep, quite a night...
