About inqdragon
I suppose my story is much like yours. I spent most of my life being relatively sane and experiencing major life changes -- in my case, college, careers, marriage, a kid, separation, growth, losses and lessons ... and then suddenly, out of the blue, WHAM! I was struck by a bolt of North Carolina lightening.
I think you know the rest.

I just listened to "When Tears Run Dry". I liked it a lot on first listening.
I keep getting distracted, though, by Ridiculously Contradicting Clay.
Clay keeps saying that the songs on MOAM really weren't representative of him because so many of them were angsty love songs and he's never been in love and he's not angsty.
And yet the new songs make the MOAM songs seem like "Don't Worry, Be Happy" in comparison.
I really find this distracting. I'm listening to the new song and the lyrics and I'm wondering how to resolve that contradiction in what Clay says and what Clay does. Because I believe Clay says what he means and means what he says. So there's got to be some explanation for such a major paradox.
Possible Explanation #1
Since he's made those statements about MOAM he's fallen in love and gotten hurt.
Possible Explanation #2
The songwriters of the world united and wrote him a letter pointing out that if he wanted to make money as a singer in show biz, he could either (1) sing angsty love songs, (2) sing MacDonald's jingles, or (3) be Bobby McFerrin.
Possible Explanation #3
Clay asked the songwriters of the world to write him songs that were not angsty love songs. These were some of the songs that were submitted:
Back for More Donuts 1,000 Naps Just You, Raleigh When Swimming Pools Run Dry
And other songs were submitted, too, where the songwriters tried to come up with something new and original that Clay could sing and find the matrix of the lyrics, without them being angsty:
No Time for Blogs Burberry on My Mind What is this Thing Called Clack? Camera Flashes Hurt My Eyes Mysterious Release Date Lord & Taylor Sweet Tea of Mine
And then, Clay's management team wrote him a letter having something to do with angsty love songs, MacDonald's, and Bobby McFerrin.
These are the only explanations I can think of, at this point.
