About jnyoyo

I am a 50 year old single female with spina bifida and I use a power wheelchair. I am the Administrative Assistant at a non-profit organization that helps people with disabilities.

I have at least two things in common with Clay...I love to sing and love to teach people with disabilities. I graduated from the Teacher/Trainer of Adults Certificate program in June, 2006. I have had two jobs that involved teaching adults with physical disabilities. One involved teaching basic Office Administration skills, including computer skills, to small groups of up to four people. The other involved teaching computer skills only, on a one-to-one basis. I loved both jobs! Now, on my "day off" from my regular job, I am teaching computer skills to seniors at the nearby community centre, and I'm loving every minute of it!

I see my Administrative Assistant job as simply a pleasant detour on the path of life. My co-workers are great and the environment at the office is great, but nothing compares to teaching!!!

I am also the proud mother of Asti, a beige female tabby cat who turned 18 on April 20, 2009. She likes to blog once in a while too!
