So.. my summer is just turning out to be a huge bad clump of months..
It all started over tickets. Concert tickets.. Clay, you aren't coming to Chicago this time around.. sad... may I suggest the Mark of the Quad Cities? Next time right?
I had tickets to another concert, but that failed miserably. I was supposed to go see this relativly new artist named Mika. He's really good. Kinda different style of music. If your interested- www.mikasounds.com. I had tickets ordered for myself and my boyfriend for the 11.06.07 concert in Chicago. A few weeks later, I got a lovely little e-mail stating that "our supplier was not able to provide you with tickets. Please accept our sincerst apologies and we hope you are able to find another means to attain tickets.
I wanted to throw my computer out the window..
I cried super hard for a few hours, until my boyfriend suggested that we take a trip on that date to Chicago for the day. That cheered me up slightly
We got up on the 11th and drove to Chicago.. As soon as we got on Lakeshore Drive, my boyfriend goes... "Uh oh." His car dies on LakeShore drive. Of ALL the places for a car to drive, I believe that the WORST possible one was the middle lane on LakeShore Drive. Later after towing us to a mechanic, we found out that his alternator blew.. While we waited to fix it, we walked to the Sears Tower, and that's about all we got done in chicago.. hopefully things get better for me.. because if my summer continues like this, it'll be a LONG one indeed.
