The heat is really getting to me today. Even air conditioning isn't enough. When it is cold, we can't wait for it to get warm, and then when it does, it is too warm.
Went to a wedding this weekend and feel so sorry for the bride and groom. They were supposed to be leaving Sunday night for their honeymoon in Cancun. I am sure with the hurricane that that was postponed. The way the weather has been lately, it is so hard to plan anything.
I have been busy working on my granddaughter's memorial fund fundraiser. My granddaughter died at the age of 9 from a brain tumor, and the fund helps families of kids with cancer at the Children's Hosp Phila. We have a block party scheduled for Aug 20th. I just hope that the weather holds out that day.
This block party is not only a fundraiser, but a great way for her friends to come together and remember her. During her short life, she made such an impression on these kids. It is so uplifting to see them come out and talk about their memories. That is what keeps us going. For all of you prayer warriers out there, please keep this date in mind, and ask God to help make it a successful event.
