Here is my review that I wrote after getting home from the concert on Thursday night.
Just got home from the concert. We spent most of the day at the fair, didn’t get home till midnight, so I am exhausted. What can I say? The concert was so awesome. We were on the 4th row in the center section, so we saw “up close Clay“. I hope my pictures turn out. My daughter did get some good ones on her digital, but I couldn’t talk her into getting them on the computer tonight. She said something about being tired and having to get up early in the morning for work. Blah blah blah! I couldn’t understand her. I want them now!!! LOL
I took my mother, daughter, and her son (my 5 yr old grandson). I have never taken a sign before but since we had 4 generations there, I thought why not, I’ll give it a try. So I got a green poster board and wrote in white letters, “4 GENERATIONS HERE FOR CLAY” and then put some purty pictures of Clay on it.
Well, I was the first one in the gate when they opened the gates for the concert. They took my sign!!! They said we couldn’t take signs in and they would make sure Clay got it. Ugh!!!!!!!!! As I watched later, I saw several people walking in with signs. And during the concert, Clay even said for everyone to hold up their signs. My daughter yelled out “They stoled our sign!“ but Clay didn’t hear her. During intermission, I went to find my sign!
After finally finding the person that took my sign, she said first they were told to not allow signs, then they were told to allow signs. Next they were told to not allow cameras, then they were told to allow cameras, and finally they were told to not allow videos, then they were told to allow videos. She said everything was all mixed up. She showed me where they put my sign but it wasn’t there, she said they have already taken it to Clay. Ummm, sure, ok, I don’t know whether to believe that or not! Oh, well!
Clay commented a couple of times about the smell of the air. The stadium is right across from the pig barn, and there are cows right next to the stadium having their babies. LOL
He was very chatty with the audience. Every song was just wonderful. It didn’t matter that he forgot the words to WYSYLM. He said it is just part of the show now. LOL
1000 days was absolutely wonderful. I can’t wait to get clack from this one. He has added something different that he does on some of the notes that I had not noticed before. And BFM was just awesome with everyone pumping their fist in the air, you just can’t help it. It’s just that kind of song and I know it gives Clay more energy to sing his heart out.
That’s all for now. I have to get up early to keep my grandson so my daughter can go to work. I told her she better get those pictures to me tomorrow evening.
