  • Learning to read again

    It was May 2001, I sat with my Mom and my dad, listening to the news that was to change our family forever. My Mom was diagnosed with liver cancer, inoperable. She was to die 3 months later, after my birthday. Mom had breast cancer in remission, with mets to the bone, she had started to get really ill, 5 mths earlier in Dec, a stomach ache that would not go away. She lost weight, we were all worried but Drs. said take antacids. ANY WAY that's when I quit reading books, I used to read 3 a week, I loved reading, I would make a movie of each book, pick out actors to play the parts,,,,in my mind. Now I could barely read the newspaper, couldn't concentrate. Depression enveloped me, my dad, my life, my family. Then I discovered Clay with the angel voice. Little by little I was smiling again. The angel wrote a book, I scrambled to buy it. read it immediately, read it again...then again. WOW I could actually concentrate. A friend lent me a funny book that I was able to read easily even laugh about it later, it was funny. I have bought other books to read...at some point, I will read them... really. Then Clay suggest a book he read, great he says, so I run out and buy it, read it, cant put it down. It is an awesome book, makes you think, an ocean of feelings flood thru me sadness, loss, guilt, love, friendship, terror, happiness. Again Clay has inspired me to read, to feel. TO ENJOY READING. Thank you Clay. And should he recommend another book, I will rush to read it too.
    For CLAY I will, a thousand times over!!
