Yep. I'm moving.
at least tentatively. I have a place that should be available to me, I just have to go meet the potential roommates...
I'm excited and I'm scared and I'm confused.
All pretty normal, huh?
This will be the first time since I left for college (ten years ago!) that I will move and I will not know a single person.. well, not quite true.. but that I don't know the area that well, that I don't have.. no.. that I GET to make new friends.
The making new friends thing. It's quite scary but also very exciting. Most people when they move, they have family that moves with them.. or at least a significant other or something. For me.. it's just me.
Oh, I'm moving to Nashville. Franklin/Cool Springs, technically. And yes, my aunt and her family live in the area, so I know them, but they really live in a sort of different world than me, ya know?
I guess I'm not totally alone. Nikki and Stefanie, my potential new roommates (PNR) have already lived in the area for some time. Nikki's sister is moving out b/c she's getting married, which is the reason for the vacancy. They can definitely show me around, and introduce me to people. I guess it's better than in college that way, right?
All of this is falling together so suddenly it's slightly scary. But in the ways that it's all falling together, I have to know that God's hand is on this too. I'm going up in a week to meet my PNR and stay with my aunt and look for a job. Daddy says I have to find a job before I can move. I'm much less worried about that now than I was before. The idea of finding a job before I found a place to live is just scary. Now i at least have a possible place to live, so finding a job should be "easy"
Wonder what my PNR will think of my um.. Clay-ness....
I haven't said so much about it, for fear of frightening them. :-P But on my MySpace, I have a picture of me and Clay from the Ft Lauderdale Gala, and Nikki left a message that said, "Ok, is that really him?" -- meaning she at least knows what he looks like, cause I didn't have a caption to the pic at all. And that was the Gala with glasses and non done up hair, so he wasn't easily recognizable to those who are completely out of the loop!
I haven't said anything in any public places (boards or myspace or anything) b/c it's still nothing set in stone, and I don't want to talk about it until it's certain... but I'm quite.. anxious.. a good anxious this time.
