Dear Clay and other friends,
Well, my last concert was Merrillville, IN. and it was by far the best of the 3. Cool. Roomy. Not too big of a venue. I still brought the binoculars,which could have used some wipers as it got awful steamy in there! GAH! Talk about hot! It really is true that each concert is different, and as usual, Clay was in rare form. I snuck up as close as I could to get a BEV of Mr. Thudliness, and lucky me, I was less than 15 ft. from him. For me that was incredibly close. I took a few pics and..then dropped my dang camera. UGH. I was TICKED OFF! It was still working but the batteries were low and I saved what little juice to take a pic afterwards by the buses. I had missed shaking hands in Indy and there was NO WAY IN HECK I was gonna do that again, even if I had to velcro myself to the underbody of the bus! Luckily, I didn't have to resort to that, but I stood outside waiting..and waiting..and waiting...and you get the idea. I thought for sure some of the little old ladies would get tired and LEAVE, but NOOOOOO. I thought some of the younger kids would go HOME and snooze to get ready for school, but that was just delusional thinking, I guess! Finally, Clay came out and people were pushing me forward. I yelled back that I would pummel anyone who knocked me over (not really) but I did say anyone who knocked me over would NOT like what I would do to them. So they stopped it. Whew. Little did they know I am really a weenie.

Anywhoo, i told everyone within earshot not to freak out or we'd scare poor Clayby. Actually, I kinda hissed it, as I didn't want him to hear it. LIke he really WOULD have over the other delerious fans yodeling. But, he came by us, and we were a gracious bunch, shaking his hand, telling him we loved him...and then he was off to the big bus.
We let one of our new friends in front of us so she could wave bye to Clay and she was so overwhelmed, she started to cry. Boy, did I know how she felt! It was great! I kept my cool somehow, and I am happy about that, but sad because my concerts are over.
I'll just take this time to recover and recoup for the JNT2. Please, Clay..come to a city near me..in Indianapolis...Dont make me drive 300 miles to see you again! But, you know I would anyway, don't you baby??? SIGH. Well, its time to go to bed. I hope you are resting up right now..sleeping hard and comfy. I miss you already.
